Yes, we take one student for one week at a time. To apply, you need to write to Confetti, with the dates of your work experience and why you would like to spend the week with us. We will then contact you to tell you if the dates are available. The work experience week at Confetti is very popular so be sure to send in your letter early.

Is Nottingham a good place to be a student?
Nottingham is a brilliant place to be a student! Whatever your interest, you’ll be able to indulge it here! Nottingham has an excellent nightlife, cafes, bars and restaurants, independent and mainstream city-centre cinemas, outstanding sports facilities, hundreds of places to visit in the area, and retail therapy to suit all tastes. Our city is a real centre for culture, with major events and concerts at the Royal Concert Hall, the Theatre Royal and the Capital FM Arena, plus modern art at the new Nottingham Contemporary. And much much more.
Does Confetti have a Student Union bar?
While we don’t have our own Student Union bar, we have an arrangement with Nottingham Trent University (also based in the city centre) which enables Confetti students to access their SU facilities, including sports clubs, societies, and of course the bar! In addition, we have a range of activities organised for you in Antenna, next door, including GameCity nights, film showings and music events. You’re also automatically a member of the DMU Student Union if ever you fancy catching a direct train for a night out in Leicester.

Do I have to pay for my course?
If you are 16-18 coming onto any of our Further Education courses you will be funded by the Learning Skills Council and will not need to pay course fees. If you are 19+ you will have course fees to pay but we can often assist with funding so please ask when you enquire as this differs with peoples individual circumstances. Higher Education students will always have fees to pay but again funding help is available depending on your circumstances.
I’m worried about the debt I’ll be in once I complete my course.
Remember, your fees don’t have to be paid up front. You’ll only start paying back the cost of your course once you start earning above £21,000 per year, and then could be paying back as little as £4 a month initially! Even when you’re earning £30,000 per year, you’ll only have to pay back around £68 per month – that’s a couple of nights out or a gym membership!
Why is Confetti charging more than some colleges for its Foundation Degrees?
As you will see when you visit, Confetti is not what most of us would recognise as a typical college. As well as our major investment in rooms and technology to ensure you have the very best learning experience, our ‘Unique Selling Point’ and what sets us apart, is our close links to the creative industries.
You’ll be taught by industry professionals, learning on industry-recognised equipment in a ‘real-world’ setting. You’ll be meeting key players from well-known creative enterprises, getting involved in major events and career development opportunities, and gaining hands-on experience at our commercial businesses based on site. All of this will put you ahead of the competition when it comes to securing a job.
If I need information and advice on finance or accommodation once I’m at Confetti, or if I need help with any other issues, is there someone who will help me?
Absolutely. We have a dedicated Education Support Team (EST) based in the main reception area. They are always your first port of call for help with any issues you might have.
